Congratulations to students Zach Richard and Louie Martinez on their recent promotions.  Zach earned his 5th kyu and Louie passed the test for Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt).  Both well earned!

Congrats to our newest Black Belt: John Ohlhausen!  Also, to Officer Louie Martinez for passing the test for 2nd Kyu.  As well as our newest 5th Kyu's: Erik Hoofard, Jacob Bailey and Joe Bailey.  All well deserved!

Congrats to Quen and Isabella Syma who passed their 4th Kyu tests!!   Another Congrats goes out to newly named and ranked Sensei - Robert Riojas 3rd Degree Black Belt!  Well done and deserved!  Looking foreward to trainning with everyone this month!  We are trainning in the Kusari Fundo in the Adult class.  And Kihon Happo and shuriken in the kids class all month.

We at Fudokan Martial Arts Lylte would like to congratulate Mr. Robert Riojas on passing a suprise test for 2nd Degree Black Belt (Nidan).  He is proving to be a very capable young man and will someday make an exellent master Instuctor and will guide his own students to greatness.  Now he will begin trainning for 3rd dan.  Omedeto Gozaimas!

New Black Belt!

Congratulations to Robert Riojas for passing the exam for Shodan - 1st Degree black belt!  Robert is now hosting free classes at the Lytle Community Center in order to get his bearrings teaching.  He hopes to be certified as a Sensei in Fudoshin Ryu Budo-Taijutsu and open his own dojo in a few years.  His classes are on Wednesdays from 7pm-8pm.

We are very excited that Fudokan Martial Arts will open a new location in Lytle. Sharing a building with Cruz Contracting.
We are located at 15155 Main Street Lytle,TX 78052.  Look for the sign."Fudokan Martial Arts"!  In a month or so, we will be adding our exclusive Street Survival Concepts course (S.S.C.).

Regular hours for Fudoshin Budo Taijutsu Classes are

Tuesday & Thurdays: 6-7pm for Kids classes, 7-8pm for Teens & Adults.

May Promotions

Congratulations to Quen and Isabella Syma for passing the exam for 3rd Kyu Green Belt on May 29.  A job well done, we are all proud of you!  Tony Lee Black and Dominic Wendt have returned class.  Last class, we all covered Ukemi, Ura Gyaku, Ura Gyaku from Seiza, Ura Gyaku reversal, as well as testing and our fun ukemi game and fast ukemi.  Next week, we will review Ura Gyaku, cover Ukemi, Hon Gyaku, Shurikenjutsu Muto Dori (in order to work on stepping offline from Hira no Kamae)...

4-17-12 Class

Class will be held in the same spot at the park every week (near the basketball court).  We are highly visible and seemed to strike some interest last class.  Soon, we will be handing out guest passes to everyone.  Good for 1 free lesson.  Next class, advanced students will work on Hon Gyaku Jime, a variation of Ura Gyaku and new students will work on several variations of Ura Gyaku.  Hope to see everyone then!

Class on Tuesday 4.10.12 will be held near the Basketball court instead of the Pavillion.  There are alot of basebal/softball games and practices there and we will be more visable than in the pavillion area.  I'm hoping to strike some interest in parents and kids/teens.  See you there.

November Promotions

    Congrats to Samuel J. Sykes for passing the 2nd Kyu Test in Masakatsu Ryu Ninjutsu and back in October for passing the 1st Kyu test in Fudokan Bujutsu!  Both Alejandro Olvera and Samuel J. Sykes have been given permission to begin teaching the basics of Taijutsu to others.  They may teach up to 2nd Kyu in Fudokan Bujutsu and up to 3rd Kyu in Masakatsu Ryu Ninjutsu but testing and liscensing of their students must be administered through Sensei-Waight until they are certified instructors. ...
